Sensory integration therapy is an area of occupational therapy aimed at children who are over or under sensitive to their environment. It is particularly effective with children who face learning difficulties such as autism, Asperger’s syndrome, and ADHD.
Sensory integration therapy takes place in a specially designed room in our facility. This room is filled with equipment designed to stimulate and challenge the senses and includes a suspended spandex cocoon that allows children who are extremely sensitive to touch.
We also have a platform swing and trampoline to improve coordination and balance, weights and other equipment designed specifically for use by children.
Please contact Pathways Therapy for additional information regarding Sensory Integration.
