In 2002, we opened our Pathways clinic at 745 Bridge Street West in Waterloo. Throughout the years, we’ve been able to help many clients in this space and the demand for our programs and expertise has grown. To accommodate our growing needs and to better serve our clients, we expanded our clinic in 2015 to our current size of 3400 feet. Our clinic is wheelchair accessible and boasts lots of natural light.
Rehab Gym Area
We offer a large physical therapy gym with large treatment beds, cardiovascular equipment, parallel bars, and equipment for strength and balance training. Our gym also has lots of open space for us to work on balance, walking and gross motor skills.
We’ve configured the facility to have separate kid friendly spaces to work on and focus in different areas of treatment or for different age groups.
This room is used for the treatment of many of our Pathways Kids. It features a system for mounting a wide variety of types of vestibular equipment, padded mats and other equipment for treatment of sensory issues. This room has lots of natural light and is wheel chair accessible. Our sensory room is also used for some of our adult clients using body weight support system for balance retraining activities.
Games That Heal
We’ve got an X-Box Kinect system that we use for functional balance training. Not only are the games we have for this system fun to play, they are extremely useful for targeting balance and functional mobility. Just because we’re doing serious work, doesn’t mean our clients can’t have fun!
In this Kitchen we are able to provide cooking classes and work with clients on movements that specifically happen in a kitchen setting. This is important for the independence of our clients when they are at home.
Private Treatment Rooms
Pathways has 7 private rooms for treatment. These rooms are used for speech therapy, massage therapy, occupational and physical therapy.
